Booking Deposits

A deposit may be required to secure your appointment with Abby Cleaning Co. By paying a deposit, you confirm that you have read and agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

The deposit secures your scheduled time slot and covers the costs associated with coordinating our team, travel time, fuel, labour allocation, and on-site assessment.

Non-Refundable Deposits After Dispatch

โš ๏ธ Once our cleaning team has been dispatched to your property or has arrived on-site, the deposit becomes non-refundable.

This policy exists because dispatching our team involves real, committed costs โ€” including scheduling, travel, fuel, labour allocation, and on-site assessment โ€” that are incurred regardless of whether service is completed.

Property Access

Customers are responsible for ensuring access to the property at the scheduled appointment time. Please ensure that:

  • Someone is present or access arrangements have been confirmed in advance
  • Keys, access codes, or building entry instructions are provided where applicable
  • Any pets are secured prior to our team's arrival
โš ๏ธ If our team is unable to gain access, experiences significant delays, or must wait for entry, the deposit may be retained to cover the time and resources committed.

Scope of Work & Pricing Adjustments

All quotes and estimates are based on the information, descriptions, and photos provided before the appointment. Photos and descriptions are used for estimation purposes only.

Final pricing is subject to on-site inspection and actual property conditions. Additional charges may apply if the property's actual condition differs materially from what was originally described, including but not limited to:

  • Higher-than-described cleanliness levels or buildup
  • Staining, pet-related cleaning requirements, or odour treatment
  • Baseboards, appliances, or bathrooms in worse condition than estimated
  • Overall scope significantly larger than originally communicated
Our team reserves the right to revise pricing when the actual condition requires a higher level of service, including deep cleaning, move-in/move-out cleaning, post-construction cleaning, or specialty cleaning.

Customer Refusal After Arrival

If a customer declines service after our team has arrived at the property โ€” for any reason including disagreement with a revised quote โ€” the deposit will not be refunded.

We recommend contacting us in advance if you have any questions about pricing or scope, so we can clarify before our team is dispatched.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

More than 24 hours before appointment
โœ“ Full deposit retained toward rescheduled appointment, or deposit refunded at our discretion.
Less than 24 hours before appointment
โš  Deposit may be forfeited. You may reschedule once without an additional deposit fee.
Same-day cancellation or no-show
โœ— Deposit is forfeited. A new deposit is required to rebook.

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice may result in forfeiture of the deposit. We appreciate as much advance notice as possible so we can reassign our team appropriately.

Management Discretion. In certain situations, Abby Cleaning Co. may offer a service credit toward a future appointment at management's sole discretion. We always aim to be fair and reasonable, and we appreciate the opportunity to resolve any concerns directly.
